About

Make musical memories. Grow lifelong learners.

For me, my life has always been about young children - letting them be creative and expressive!
I’ve created a music program where families and the community can gather together to connect and Celebrate Childhood. Let’s prolong these precious early years for a little bit longer, and nurture the most important part of your child’s life. All of who we are goes back to our early childhood years - why rush - let's cherish it.’
  ~Kathy

Kathy’s music, movement, instrument and melody magical program honors the whole, creative child and provides a place for them to be expressive, creative, free and JOY-ful. Their heart mind body and spirit are nurtured through musical experiences... with their family right there, in it and beside them observing, hugging, smiling, laughing and cheering them along. A place for parents to unplug, relax, smile, bond and say (sing): "I SEE you... I HEAR you… I LOVE you” through the songs, dances and the joys of music and movement.

From cuddles n lullabies in Babies classes, to moving freely with Toddlers, to singing, storytelling, xylophones, ukulele and drumming with Preschoolers, to playing piano and a large variety instruments, music theory concepts and dancing with Big Kid Classes, it’s always for the child, with the child and about the child with Kathy & Educator Friends.

Kathy’s music and movement program is built around the core belief that every child is musical and deserves the joy, fun, and learning that music brings. It is a part of the human experience across the globe and throughout time.  Music brings many benefits into our lives and the lives of our children, but making music for music’s sake is value enough for it to be a lifelong companion.  In fact, music is a part of who we are from the beating of our heart, to the melody of our speech, to the rhythm of our waking and sleeping.  Music is always near.

We offer families a unique experience in today’s busy world: a weekly opportunity to make music with others and the tools to make music easily and spontaneously at home. A child’s experience of Kathy’s music and movement program doesn’t necessarily focus on the rich learning environment but on the happiness of singing, dancing, and playing music.

Owner Kathy Hayden

My passion is teaching creatively with music, dance, stories and play - and MOSTLY, loving children and connecting families. -Kathy

My life was surrounded by music, art, dance and expression in my family! I was a lively active creative child who could not sit down or be structured for too long…. hence, I’ve created Kathy’s music and movement program to be the perfect magical place for ALL children, and not one style of learning - for the free spirited child, for the quiet, observant child, and for the structured, focused child- each child enjoying at their own pace and way

KATHY IN INDIA

I have been blessed to travel, teach and train teachers for various elementary and preschools in Indore, India. My passion is to bring music, art and love to all children in the world, one child at a time. This has become my passion- an outreach music program where I travel to India (and other countries), co-lead a Women’s Travel Trips, volunteer and love on children in the Himalaya Mountains, and teach at music workshops for schools in Indore, India - Bringing music, English, JOY and LOVE to many children!

When introduced appropriately, music and literature play an amazing role in the development of infants and toddlers. I’m happy that Kathy’s music and movement program has extended their programs to include this time of life when brain development is most vulnerable and parents are most in need of support and direction.
